The agenda features an exchange of views on the establishment of measures for the recovery of European eel stocks, as well as a presentation by the Commissoin on Council Regulation (EC) No 2187/2005 for the conservation of fishery through technical measures in the Baltic Sea, the Belts and the Sound.

The meeting will take place at ICES the headquarters in Copenhagen.

The Fisheries Secretariat will be hosting the meeting to bring together all relevant NGOs to discuss issues related to the Regional Advisory Councils.

Quotas for the North Sea, Atlantic, Black Sea and certain other stocks for 2013 will be decided. Discussions will also take place on the revision to the cod long-term management plan for the North Sea waters.

The vote on compromise amendments to the Rodust (S+D, DE) report on the CFP Basic Regulation will take place.

The third annual Seychelles tuna conference, entitle "Taking Stock", will take place and will feature discussions concerning bycatch reduction and acheiving MSC certification among other issues.

The second day of Council will discuss fisheries issues, including TACs for deep-sea stocks for 2013 and 2014, along with an exchange of views on the annual consultation with EU and Norway, and the Danish delegation will brief the Council on the Norway pout stock.
