The consultation aims to gather feedback from stakeholders on fishing opportunities for 2024. It is open for feedback between 14 June 2023 – 31 August 2023. All feedback received will be summarised by the European Commission and presented to the European Parliament and Council with the aim of feeding into the legislative debate.
The report will assess:
- progress in achieving sustainable fisheries
- the state of fish stocks
- the implementation of the landing obligation
- the balance between fleet capacity and fishing opportunities.
