The Council session will take place on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 May in Brussels.
Ministers will receive information on the state of play with regard to EU-UK fishing relations and the WTO negotiations on fisheries subsidies. This will be followed by a press conference with Mr Serrão Santos and Virginijus Sinkevičius, European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries. In the evening, ministers will seek to approve the Council’s conclusions on the EU’s priorities for the 2021 United Nations Food Systems Summit (UNFSS). Ministers are then expected to return to the morning’s discussion of the CAP reform package.
