New fisheries minister in Poland

Earlier this week Polish Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski fired ministers from the ruling Law & Justice’s (PiS) coalition partners, Samoobrona and the League of Polish Families (LPR), among them the Fisheries Minister Rafal Wiechecki.

The new Fisheries Minister Marek Gróbarczyk holds the official title Minister of Marine Economy. Marek Gróbarczyk does not have any party affiliation and is a Member of the Supervisory Board of the Liquid Fuels Logistics Operators. From 25 January until 13 August 2007 he was also a member of the board of the Nitrogen Plant in Tarnów-Moœcice S.A.
