FISH is now recruiting a new Director
We are looking for a driven and experienced individual to lead the work of the Secretariat, supporting a small team of experts (2–3 people). Together with our Board, you will be responsible for the work programme and budget, managing current projects, as well as securing future funding.
At FISH, we work in an international environment with partners all across Europe, engaging with decision-makers, civil servants, NGOs and the fishing sector. Previous experience of environmental and fisheries policy work, understanding of the EU political processes and a keen interest for developments in these areas is necessary. In addition, you should have documented experience of managing staff and projects.
The post also requires excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English. Knowledge of Swedish and Swedish administration is desirable, but not a requirement, and knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
The post is based at our office in central Stockholm and is a full-time position starting sometime in the autumn of 2014. FISH is a member of the Employers’ Alliance (Arbetsgivaralliansen) and we apply their agreement for non-profit organisations.
