The WWF Baltic Ecoregion Action Programme (BEAP) is an ambitious, broad scale, integrated approach that aims to conserve and, where necessary, restore the full range of biodivercity of the Baltic Sea. It is grounded in science and blended with innovative strategies and bold ambition. Its focus encompasses the whole drainage area of the Baltic Sea and promotes integrated land, coastal and marine management to strengthen the local and regional capacity to achieve sustainable management of the Baltic Sea resources.
This year ELF also started with a project called Protection against oil pollution in the Gulf on Finland. Where the main partner is WWF Finland. In order to increase readiness to combat oil pollution on the shores of the Gulf of Finland there is a demand for trained people, necessary equipment to deal with the matter and improvement of existing systems.
