English Nature, Maritime Team, Fisheries Group (EN)

English Nature champions the conservation of wildlife, geology and wild places in England. We are a Government agency set up by the Environment Protection Act 1990 and are funded by the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.The Fisheries Group provide advice to Government and other statutory bodies on complex issues of nature conservation and fisheries, comment on fisheries consultations, provide original thinking on fisheries and environmental interactions, and build understanding of fishing impact through stakeholder dialogue. The Group also commissions original research through small advice contracts or through larger projects.
