The Beijer Institute initiates and carries out interdisciplinary research and other activities within natural and social science. Research includes ecological-economic research about identifying and quantifying nature’s provision of ecosystem goods and services, assessing the economic significance of such goods and services, and evaluating institutions for ecosystem management. Several research projects concern marine issues.
