Friends Society of the Ina and Gowienica Rivers
Friends Society of the Ina and Gowienica Rivers (TPRIIG), with its basis in Goleniów Poland, focus on river protection initiatives. Aimed at retaining the natural state of Ina and Gowienica rivers, TPRIIG conducts activities to ensure sustainable use of water resources.
The main objectives of the organization are to promote sustainable and ethical angling activities, and to ensure sustainable use of river resources for the enjoyment of future generations.
The organization manages projects ranging from public consultations regarding river management issues to collaborations with Nasza Ziemia Foundation and its ‘Clean up the World’ campaign, in addition to other environmental protection activities with various Angling NGOs in Poland.
Friends Society of the Ina and Gowienica Rivers and its Chairman, Artur Furdyna, is closely collaborating with FISH in carrying out the Polish National Angling Directory and Map project.
TPRIIG is a member of Ocean2012, a coalition of more than 100 hundred organisations in Europe and beyond, dedicated to ensuring an effective reform of the EU Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), which puts a stop to overfishing, ends destructive fishing practices, and delivers fair and equitable use of healthy fish stocks.
